Home stays are very common in tourist places like coorg. The guests are invited to stay at the host's place. This post is about such a home stay that i 've visited recently. This post is about "The Jade" from my point of view.
Situated in nagarhole The Jade is a beautiful home stay.
How to get there:
The Jade is on the Bangalore to Mysore Highway, take a right after SRIRANGAPATNAM towards HUNSUR. Take the left towards GONICOPPA and drive towards PONAMPET-SRIMANGLA and MANCHALLI. After reaching MANCHALLI, take a right at MANCHALLI BRICK PRODUCTION BOARD.The Ghat road closes around 6 in the evening , make sure you cross it before that.
The Jade is situated at a quite and a calm place surrounded by coffee plantation and a beautiful climate. The rooms are well maintained. The food is good. The food can be ordered to our liking , its all a phone call away.
The Jade has a lot of space at its entrance , a beautiful canopy with net swings.
There is a special attraction in The Jade which i liked much, "The Riverside". Whats so special about the riverside? Well as the name implies its a river side with a beautiful bamboo grove that forms a cave like structure .
If you really want to enjoy "the riverside" at The Jade, make sure you choose a sunny day. You could take a dip at the river , lie on the water as long as you like. The River side is very close to The Jade , watch out for the sign boards.
